This 90 minute meeting provides the opportunity for you to learn more about the program, the required training and for us to get to meet you. BEREAVEMENT EDUCATION SEMINARS WELCOME The Healing Center offers bereavement educational seminars to the staffs of social service agencies, schools and hospitals. The seminars are especially designed to meet the needs of social workers, caseworkers, guidance counselors and health care providers who work with children and adolescents. A seminar may include some of the following topics: • Dimensions of childhood grief • How children express their pain • What we as clinicians can do to help the child • Helping grieving parents help grieving children • Stigmatization of certain deaths • Providing grief support in schools • Practical methods you can use to help children • The Healing Center Model Bereavement Education Seminars can be designed to meet the needs of your staff.
